How to Easily Print a Catalog of Your Fonts

How many fonts do you have installed on your computer? If you are anything like me, it’s probably a lot! I’ll be honest, when I am working on a project I hate sitting and scrolling through all my installed fonts. Then, I stumbled across a a software program that will print all of your fonts in minutes!

Visit this linkΒ and download the software by Stefan Trost Media. Once you install the software, open the program. On the right hand side, you’ll see a checkbox with the text: “Text written in the font”. In this box, you will want to type whatever text you want to use in your catalog. Then, choose your format. I printed mine, but you can also save as an image or text document. Isn’t that neat?

Note: I searched the website and couldn’t find if it works on Mac or not. I use Windows 10 and it worked perfectly for me. Updated – A Cutting for Business reader says that it doesn’t work for Mac – but click this link to do the same on your Mac. Updated again: This program now works with Mac. Thanks Nancy for keeping me up to date.

Hi there, I thought I had the same issue so I thought I’d share in case this helps anyone else…
PrintMyFonts (PMF) showed me that I had over 270 fonts on +/- 19-20 pages. I printed to PDF and then it only previewed the first 2-3 pages (when using my Mac; side note: Windows version had no issue). I knew it showed the full font list earlier in the PMF window so I simply right clicked the saved PDF and opened in Google Chrome where it showed me all 20 pages. Possible just an issue between PMF and Mac’s Preview program.

To add to my comment above, you can also change the field for “text written in default font” to include the path where the font file is on your computer. This is VERY helpful if you have your fonts in different folders, for whatever reason. You simply change it to include %filepath%. Hopefully I didn’t confuse anyone.
