Diving In: 30 Days to Your Silhouette or Cricut Business Book

Filed Under: My Books & Courses

It’s here, it’s finally book launch day! Why did I write a workbook anyway? The absolute most frequently asked question I get is “Can you tell me how to start a business with my Silhouette Cameo or Cricut?” Nearly every day, I get a different variation of this question and it always baffles me. My online existence on Cutting for Business is writing articles to help crafters start and grow their own successful businesses. However, not everyone likes the blog format; while others are just on information overload with so many topics on Cutting for Business. I realized that readers wanted step-by-step instructions on what they needed to do to start their business – available in order and in front of them. In Diving In: 30 Days to Your Silhouette Business and Diving In: 30 Days to Your Cricut Business, I take you through a journey to start your business from setting goals to finding your niche, to social media and selling on Etsy – and everything in between.

Is there a table of contents available to see before purchase? I started selling in July but struggle with really knowing what to do. I am not selling online other than my Facebook page. I am just wondering if this book will help me or wait for the second book in February? Thanks!

Hello! There isn’t a table of contents since it is an interactive workbook. It opens with goal setting and naming your business, then moves to social media and selling online. If you are already selling, Diving Deeper: 30 Days to Grow Your Business will probably be more helpful.

    Hi Christine,
I bought your book and have been going through it. I have my name, tax ID, I started a Facebook page and tried Etsy. I am working on a Web page, not published yet, it is so confusing. I have done 2 craft fairs. Although I didn’t sell much, I did use the opportunity to see what I liked in other set up displays etc. My items seem to be different from what others have, but there are some that are similar but not so much. I have to admit I’m a bit disappointed, but I guess I need time. I don’t know what I’m missing. Do I keep plugging along? I love creating things. I’m anxious for people to know I do this and can order.
    Thanks Sharon

Hi Sharon! That’s great that you are making items that are different from others! Everything takes time to build. Without seeing your shop or social media pages, I can’t say what the issue may be. But, here’s things to check: 1) Good SEO in titles, tags, and description. 2) Bright, crisp photos. 3) Posting daily to Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram. Hope those help!

Just purchased this e-book and cannot wait to get started. I originally bought my Silhouette to put vinyl on wood projects my fiancé and I make, but now do a lot of decals for co-workers. I see the potential for some extra income to pay down bills and maybe save up for family vacations! I do intend to only do one section a day so I can absorb all of the information and really do this right. Thanks for being such a great resource!
