Free ‘May Your Life Be Full of Thanks & Giving’ Thanksgiving SVG Cut File

I’ve got one last Thanksgiving free cut file or sketch pen Silhouette file for this year. This week, I headed to my trusty list of 50+ Thanksgiving Sayings for Crafters and chose one of my favorites, “May Your Life Be Full of Thanks and Giving” and turned it into a card. Hand lettering is so hot right now (I’ve even ordered supplies to try it out on my own!) but this is faux hand lettering.

Faux Hand Lettered Tutorial

  • I used a Silhouette Pen Holder, a regular black ink pen, and a calligraphy marker on a 4″ by 5.5″ kraft paper notecard to sketch the design. I used the ink pen for the small text, then switched over to the calligraphy marker on the larger text.

  • Next, I used my calligraphy marker to color in the spaces that weren’t filled all the way by the machine. I could have used the inset function in Silhouette Studio to better fill in the font, but coloring was just as easy and fast!

That’s it, two quick and easy steps. Of course, you could use the Silhouette sketch pens, the Silhouette felt sketch pens, or use the file for anything else you can dream up. As always, this file can be used for commercial use but you cannot sell the digital file.

Thanks for the free file! I love it with the negative spaces filled in but I love it just as much with them unfilled. It's like having 2 different looks with 1 file. :)
