How to Easily Run a Sale in Your Etsy Shop

It’s no secret that holding a sale is a great way to boost your product sales. Running a sale on Etsy can be tedious because you either have to create a coupon code or manually change the prices of your items. What if I told you there was an easier and more streamlined method that will save you money? Well, there is and it is called Etsy On Sale.

What is Etsy On Sale?

Etsy On Sale is a third party application that saves you time when running sales/specials/promotions in your Etsy shop.

How Much Does It Cost?

Etsy On Sale uses a credit system. See the image below for credit pricing. You’ll notice that the more credits you purchase, the better the value. All new users are given 5 free credits to try out Etsy on Sale.

Credits are great, but how many credits do you need to run a sale? So glad you asked! Running a sale using Etsy On Sale costs 4 credits. Other features of Etsy On Sale are shown in the image below.

How Does Etsy On Sale Work?

After connecting your shop to Etsy On Sale, you fill out a form with the details of your sale. Among other things, you can choose to put your whole shop on sale or only specific items, the start and end date, and the discount amount (percentage or fixed amount). See the image below for the form:

Once your sale starts, your listing will be featured on the Etsy On Sale website, and will have the discount reflected shown in your Etsy shop. I like to leave the “Show Regular Prices” box checked when setting up my sales. This will allow the Etsy On Sale app to cross off the regular price and show the sale price. For an example of what this looks like, view live sales in action at this link. Be sure to click through one of them to see the listing on Etsy.

Are Any Other Tools Available?

Yes, Etsy On Sale offers bulk tag editing and auto renew features. Those will be covered another day! Tell me, have you used Etsy On Sale? Let me know in the comments.
