Are you looking for free SVG cut files with commercial use? Good news! I’ve compiled a list for you!

Commercial Use vs Personal Use Licenses

Finding free SVG cut files with commercial use is harder than finding free SVG cut files with personal use. Why? I don’t think as many designers offer free commercial use cut files.

Not sure of the difference between commercial use and personal use? Commercial use licenses allow you to use the SVG on products you sell; while personal use licenses only allow you to use the file on projects you make for your own use.

Read more about different licenses on designs and fonts.

Not All Commercial Licenses are Equal

When you shop for free SVG cut files with commercial use licenses, you need to be sure to read the license for each file and at each site. Unfortunately, the terms from one website to another will vary greatly. Since designers are able to create their own licenses, one designer may say you can only create 10 products using the file – while another may say you can create an unlimited number of products. Still another designer may require a link back to their site, while another doesn’t allow print on demand.

If you are selling products using a free commercial use SVG cut file, you should keep a record of the license. This is as simple as saving the license included in the zip file to a folder on your computer.

No Obvious Trademark Infringements on this List

Do you have a favorite site for commercial SVG cut files that isn’t listed below? There are several sites that offer free SVG cut files for commercial use that have obvious trademark infringements. For example, if I come across a site with free commercial use Disney files, or sports teams files – I do not list them below. Unfortunately, these sites do not have your best interest in mind and are likely selling files illegally with the promise of you being able to use them for sale.

With so many free images for personal use and images for commercial use...do you have suggestions for how to organize/track which images and fonts you have downloaded are available to use commercially. Is there a trick for flagging them in your files so you don’t accidentally use one that you’ve downloaded for “personal use” earlier and then decide to use the image for something you want to sell later? I’m new to this and I just don’t want to make a mistake now that will end up with an accidental trademark infringement later.

Thanks so much!

I do one of two things: 1) rename the file with PU or CU before or after the title. 2) Only download items for commercial use.

Hi Christine, Thank for this fantastic list along with how to search for commercial images. I love the fonts and will definitely download them. I don't know if I need to print out the commercial license information and put it in a binder but I decided it doesn't hurt to have it. I will not print out the graphics or fonts but I am going to give credit to the companies. I think they deserve it with all the hard work they do.

Yes, lots of users print out the licenses to keep on record. It's nice of you to give credit, but it isn't necessary.

Thanks for the list Christine, this is a great resource! You were kind enough to critique my Etsy page and you suggested I remove a file because licensing was required to use it but I actually purchased it from one of these vendors so I'm confused; are they available for commercial use or not?
